Her heart breaks like a wave

She did the kicking out
He’s sleeping in his van
Rocks up to work in the same old shirt
Smelling like fag ends
She’s boxing up his junk
Can’t get it out soon enough
Out of her sight and into the mud
Her friends are all asking “what happened”?
For they were the ones, all hope was pinned on
And if they can’t make it..

Her heart breaks like a wave

He’s parked up by the beach
And scoring morning glass
She’s burning his boardies in the yard
It’s like some funeral pyre
An effigy of their love
Or a testament to the lack there off
He’s waxing down and she’s fed up
Telling her friends exactly what happens
For when it’s frothing there ain’t nothing
That will stop him.

Not even her body
Not even her sun kissed skin
Can do anything.

Her heart breaks like a wave
